Child Safety Standards
Last updated 24 June 2026
Constella has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The safety of minors is a non-negotiable condition of using our service. This page sets out our standards against CSAE, how anyone can report it, and the action we take when it is found. It applies across all of Constella, including Campus Pulse and the public global map.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:
- Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or links to it, in any form.
- Sexualisation of minors, including sexualised text, requests, or roleplay involving anyone under 18.
- Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to solicit, lure, or coerce a minor into sexual activity or the sharing of intimate imagery.
- Sharing, requesting, or trading sexual content of a minor, including self-generated content.
- Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor.
How we prevent it
- Age requirements. Constella is for adults — you must be 18 or older to use it, and we ask you to confirm your age when you join a campus. We remove accounts we learn belong to anyone under 18.
- Verified campus spaces. Access to a campus space requires a student/college ID reviewed by that campus’s admins, which raises the barrier to anonymous abuse.
- No private media sharing with strangers. Contact details are never shown publicly, and there is no open image-sharing channel that an abuser could use to push CSAM to a minor.
- Human moderation. We operate report and review queues. Content and accounts that violate these standards are hidden, removed, and banned.
How to report CSAE
Every post, answer, and dot in Constella can be reported from within the app using the report control on that content. Reports of child safety concerns are prioritised. You can also email us directly at imantobb@gmail.com (our point of contact below). You do not need an account to email a report.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In India you can also reach the national child helpline on 1098.
What we do when CSAE is found
- We remove the content and permanently ban the account(s) responsible.
- We preserve the relevant records as required to support investigation by the proper authorities.
- We report apparent CSAM to the relevant authorities, including the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable, and to local law enforcement. For users in India we report in line with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder.
Point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety, able to speak to our CSAM prevention practices and compliance, is Imanto, reachable at imantobb@gmail.com. This is also our Grievance Officer for the purposes of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Compliance
We comply with applicable child safety laws and report to regional and national authorities as required. These standards work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We review these standards as the product evolves and revise the date above.
